Position: Assistant Portfolio Accountant Location: Hybrid

  • London/Vauxhall (SW8), twice a week Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00
  • 17:30 Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Contract: 12-month FTC

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

Role Specific Accountabilities

  • Support the preparation of annual accounts for audit, including bank reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in managing the audit process in line with legislation and deadlines.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for clients.
  • Support the set-up of new clients on financial systems.
  • Assist in raising service charge demands.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and provide accounting information/analysis as required.
  • Liaise with accounting teams and property managers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of records.
  • Assist with monitoring cash flow and outstanding creditors.
  • Support accounting for Developer Set-Up Funding.
  • Assist with preparation and control of void service charges.

Previous Experience / Technical Competency:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent IT and numeracy skills.
  • GCSE or equivalent Grade C+ in Mathematics and English.
  • Working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight and conflicting deadlines.
  • Team player with a “can do” attitude and practical approach to work.
