Fire Door Qualification Supervisor

NEW OPPORTUNITY We are working with a Local Authority in the East of England outside London, seeking a Fire Door Qualification Supervisor to lead fire door compliance and inspection programmes across housing assets.

Start: ASAP Working Arrangement: Hybrid weekly Rate: Negotiable Hourly/Daily (Inside IR35) Duration: 3-6 Months initially

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise fire door installation and inspection programmes (4,500 front entrance doors annually and 1,400 communal doors quarterly).
• Conduct intrusive and visual inspections of fire doors and compartmentation, ensuring compliance with all fire safety standards.
• Oversee contracts for door installation and remedial works, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to certification requirements (BM TRADA or equivalent).
• Maintain accurate inspection records and certification evidence for audits.
• Liaise with clients, architects, auditors, and fire services to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance.

Key Requirements:

• BM TRADA accreditation or equivalent in fire door installation and maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in fire safety and building maintenance.
• Strong supervisory experience managing operatives and contractors.
• Knowledge of fire safety legislation and health & safety regulations.
