Afterschool Club Assistants

Job Title: After School Club Assistant Location: Walthamstow, London Contract: Term time only Hours: 3:15pm-6:00pm, Monday to Thursday and/or Friday

About the Role We are a recruitment agency working on behalf of a welcoming 3-form entry mainstream primary school in Walthamstow, who are seeking reliable and enthusiastic After School Club Assistants. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with primary-aged children and can help create a safe, engaging, and positive environment at the end of the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support pupils during after school club sessions
• Assist with setting up and leading play-based, creative, and structured activities
• Ensure children's safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times
• Support snack time and tidy-up routines
• Work collaboratively with other club staff and the school team

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working with children in a primary school or childcare setting is desirable
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach
• Ability to engage children in fun and age-appropriate activities
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Relevant childcare or playwork qualifications are desirable but not essential
