Position: Locum Principal Prosecutions Lawyer

Organisation: Midlands based

Duration: 3 months + with the possibility of extension thereafter

Working Pattern: Full Time

Working Arrangement: Predominantly remote working, Court attendance when required

Hourly Rate: Up to £65 per hour Umbrella, dependent on experience

The ideal candidate will have at experience in handling Prosecutions matters and can demonstrate prior experience working on behalf of Local Authorities.

Duties may include:

• Manage a caseload and provide legal advice on a wide range of Prosecution matters including Environmental crime, Education offences such as Irregular Attendance and Trading standards matters
• Handle Licensing matters including, but not limited to, events, shops and taxis
• Conduct Case Preparation and case management of allocated cases for Court purposes and liaise with the relevant Clients from various departments within the Local Authority
• Be prepared to manage a busy team of Solicitors and Paralegals and reviewing work to ensure work is completed to a high standard
