**IT Technician
- 3-month contract
- Milton Keynes**
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Technician to support our Logistics department on a large-scale asset management project. The role involves auditing approximately 11,000 laptops and IT equipment, accurately capturing product information, and recording it in an asset management database.
This is a hands-on physical role suited to someone with strong IT hardware knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities of the IT Technician:
- Physically handle, move and inspect laptops and other IT equipment
- Identify and record asset information including:
- Make and model
- Serial numbers
- Asset tags
- Specifications and condition
- Accurately input all data into the Asset Database
- Work closely with the Logistics and IT teams to ensure data accuracy
- Follow established processes for equipment handling and tracking
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Skills & Experience from the IT Technician:
- Previous experience as an IT Technician, IT Analyst, Asset Management or similar role
- Strong knowledge of laptop and IT hardware identification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks over extended periods
- Good organisational and time-management skills
The IT Technician is required onsite, 5 days a week in the centre of Milton Keynes.
