Part-time Finance Officer
Description
KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with this excellent client on the outskirts of Gateshead, to recruit a Part-time Finance Officer. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will be as follows:
- Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and year end procedures
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and financial returns
- Supporting the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts
- Helping with the maintenance of the fixed asset register and depreciation entries
- Creating and posting general ledger journals
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts on a timely basis
- Dealing with payroll, including timesheet input
- Processing purchase and supplier invoices and ensuring all suppliers are paid correctly
- Matching invoices to delivery notes and orders and checking BACS runs
- Handling all supplier enquiries and maintaining the integrity of supplier information
- Responsible for ensuring cash banking processes are accurately completed on time
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing sales invoices; ensuring all monies owing are collected as agreed
- Management of the cashless payment systems, including setting up new billable items
- Updating payment records, chasing up amounts unpaid and handling queries
- Production of relevant reports and financial information for the senior team
- Providing support with internal and external audit information requests
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is working towards an accountancy qualification or someone who is qualified by experience. Strong IT skills, particularly with Word and Excel are essential. Iris Financials would be an advantage.
