SEN - Behaviour Support Staff
Description
Make a Real Difference Where It Matters Most
SEMH Support Staff - PRUs & Alternative Provision
Some students do not need "more discipline" - they need the right adult.
We are seeking experienced SEMH Support Staff who are passionate about transforming the lives of young people educated in PRUs and Alternative Provision settings. These are learners who may have faced trauma, exclusion, or complex social and emotional challenges - and who thrive when supported by calm, consistent, and skilled professionals.
This role is not about managing behaviour. It is about building trust, restoring confidence, and changing trajectories.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Working closely with teaching staff to provide structured, trauma-informed support
- Helping students regulate emotions, re-engage with learning, and develop positive routines
- Being a consistent, positive role model in environments where stability matters most
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience working with SEMH, PRU, AP, or high-needs settings
- Confidence supporting challenging behaviour with empathy and structure
- Resilience, patience, and a genuine commitment to student development
- A belief that every young person deserves another chance
Why Work With Us:
- Meaningful, rewarding work with real impact
- Supportive leadership who understand SEMH environments
- Opportunities for long-term placements and career progression
- Competitive pay that reflects your experience and skill set
If you are an SEMH professional who wants your work to matter, and you believe education should be inclusive, restorative, and human - we would like to hear from you.
Apply today and be the difference a student remembers.
