Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking an IT Category Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role is crucial for managing and optimising IT procurement within an aerospace context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the procurement of IT resources and services
- Developing and implementing category management strategies and best practices
- Analysing market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and value improvements
- Negotiating contracts and terms with IT suppliers and vendors
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Managing supplier relationships and performance to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfil IT requirements
- Providing insights and recommendations to optimise IT spend and efficiency
Job Requirements:
- Experience in IT category management, ideally within the aerospace sector
- Strong understanding of IT procurement processes and best practices
- Knowledge of market trends and supplier landscapes in IT
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier contracts
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification
