Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking an IT Category Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role is crucial for managing and optimising IT procurement within an aerospace context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the procurement of IT resources and services
  • Developing and implementing category management strategies and best practices
  • Analysing market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and value improvements
  • Negotiating contracts and terms with IT suppliers and vendors
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Managing supplier relationships and performance to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfil IT requirements
  • Providing insights and recommendations to optimise IT spend and efficiency

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in IT category management, ideally within the aerospace sector
  • Strong understanding of IT procurement processes and best practices
  • Knowledge of market trends and supplier landscapes in IT
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier contracts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification
