Drama Teacher - Upper School & Sixth Form (Hertfordshire)

Quantum Scholars are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded upper school and sixth form in Hertfordshire, who are seeking a qualified Drama Teacher to join their team immediately.
This role is initially available until February half-term, with a strong possibility of extension for the right candidate. It is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Drama specialist to inspire creativity and performance in a supportive school environment.
The Role
- Teaching Drama to Year 9 and Year 10 students
- Working Monday-Thursday or full-time (5 days per week), depending on your availability
- Joining a committed and collaborative performing arts department
Due to the school's location, access to your own transport is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality Drama lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Encouraging students to develop confidence, creativity, and performance skills
- Assessing, tracking, and providing constructive feedback on student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports self-expression and learning
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Collaborating with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school objectives
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Drama
- Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to nurturing student talent
- Can start immediately and is open to a potentially extended placement
