Sales Ledger
Description
Retail finance isn't for the faint-hearted. Fast-paced, high-volume, and full of moving parts. But if you love variety, responsibility and working in the thick of it, this sales ledger role could be right up your street.
You'll be joining on a 12-month contract, working across the sales ledger for a retailer with over 1000 stores. But this isn't just invoice processing. You'll handle everything from store banking queries to supporting the opening of new sites.
It's a hybrid setup - 2 days in the office, 3 days from home - and it pays £26k.
This is an entry-level sales ledger role, but ideally you'll have 1-2 years in a similar sales ledger environment. Experience in retail or using SAP is a bonus. What matters most is that you're organised, communicative, and comfortable juggling priorities. The ability to manage your own time is essential.
Day-to-day, you'll upload and reconcile daily bank statements, working across both card and cash payments. You'll support other teams, liaise with secure collections, and be the point of contact for store managers on banking queries.
You'll also help coordinate store openings and produce regular reports, so a basic grip of Excel is needed. Nothing complex, but you'll need to be comfortable handling data accurately.
The hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. You'll have regular contact with regional managers and various teams across the business, so this sales ledger role is a good step up if you're looking to get broader commercial exposure.
In return, you'll gain hands-on experience in one of the most fast-paced sectors in finance. It's a solid platform if you're keen to progress in accounts receivable or move into other areas of transactional finance.
