Job:Quality EngineerCompany:BAE SystemsHourly Rate:£29.99 PAYE or £40.31 UmbrellaLocation: Barrow-in-Furness - on-siteContract: 12 months (Opportunity to be extended)Working Hours: 37 hours per weekAbout the RoleThe role of the Quality Engineer II is to support to the Quality Function in order to achieve a scope of work which ensures that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management SystemCompetent Quality professional capable of managing own tasks, delivering results, escalating problem areasConducts Quality activities in accordance with the relevant processes and proceduresDomain areas include, but are not limited to: Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality Assurance, Supplier Improvements, Quality Improvements, Quality Engineering, Quality Reporting, Quality SystemsKey Responsibilities:Work as a fully contributory member of the Quality teamResponsible for demonstrating SHE and responsible business behavioursUndertake routine Quality Assurance activities in their related areaUndertake non-routine and or complex Quality Assurance activities in their related area with minimal supervisionManage own developmentAble to access, have a clear understanding of and develop the local Management System documentation e.g. policies, procedures, workmanship standards, risk assessments and processes in their related areaLiaise / interface with appropriate areas of the business and build effective relationshipsResponsible for conducting internal auditsResponsible for supporting non-conformances managementResponsible for supporting Quality investigationsSkills & Qualifications:Understanding and application of ISO 9001/ EN9100 and other applicable quality standardsUnderstanding of Business Management Systems, the Operational Framework and Operational Assurance processAwareness of product safety requirementsUnderstand the importance of cross functional integrationExport requirements knowledge (for example International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)) (where applicable)Understanding of Auditing to quality standardsPrevious BAE Submarines experience preferredIf you would like to be considered for this role please don't hesitate to click apply or call Sam Pierre-Louis on for more information.About BAE:BAE Systems is a leading global defence, aerospace, and security company.
