Mechanical Modification Technician - Rolling Stock

Job Title: Mechanical Modifications TechniciansLocation: East YorkshireHourly Pay Rate: £20.09 Paye / £27.00 UmbrellaShifts: Minimum of 40 hours a week, potentially rising to 45 hours after 12 weeksShift Pattern: Mon - Fri 06:30 - 14:30 / 14:30 - 22:30 rotating weeklyDuration: On-going contractStart Date: January 2026Position Summary:Working at a modern Rolling Stock production facility you who will initially be engaged for the implementation of a suite of modifications for the new London Underground Stock.You will be responsible for:* Carrying out mechanical and interior pre-sale modifications including underframe work* Recording work via internal IT systems* Carry out inspections and checks to ensure fleet reliability* Identify improvements and feedback into team leader* Advise and rectify any defects that are foundQualifications / Education required:* Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 or equivalent award in a Mechanical/Engineering discipline.* Minimum 2 years Mechanical Rolling Stock Modifications experiencePLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION (this is standard procedure on Rail depots)Please note due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
