Technical Payments Analyst3 days on site in Central London3 month contract inside IR35£475-575 per daycandidatesmusthave banking experience to be considered - CVs without this will not be shortlistedRole Brief:Our client, a leading bank, are looking for an experienced Technical Payments Analyst to join on a contract basis.This role focuses onpayment APIs, gateways, and platform integrations, delivering solutions across domestic and international payment channels.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand payment processes and documenthigh-level business and functional requirementsSupport the analysis and improvement ofpayment workflows, including card, ACH, wire, real-time payments, and digital wallet processesAssist in thedesign and integration of payment systems, APIs, and gateways in coordination with IT and vendorsTranslate stakeholder requirements intouser stories, functional specifications, and process flowsfor technical teamsSupportUAT and system testingfor payment platform enhancements, integrations, or new implementationsMonitor and analysepayment transactions and system performanceto identify issues or areas for optimisationWork closely with IT, operations, and vendors to ensuresmooth delivery of payment solutionsand compliance with internal and regulatory standardsProvidetechnical insights and documentationto help the business and technical teams understand system changes or enhancementsCandidate Requirements:Proven experience as aTechnical Business Analyst or Payments Analystbanking or financial servicesStrong understanding ofpayment systems, platforms, and processes, including ACH, wire transfers, card networks, real-time payments, and digital walletsHands-on experience withpayment APIs, gateways, and system integrations, including technical specification and implementation supportAbility to gather, analyse, and documentbusiness and functional requirements, user stories, and process flowsExperience collaborating withIT, infrastructure teams, and external vendorson payment system design, integration, and enhancementsFamiliarity withregulatory requirements and industry standards(e.g., SWIFT, ISO 20022, PSD2, NACHA)Stronganalytical skills, with the ability to review transaction data, identify gaps, and propose process improvementsExperience supportingtesting (UAT), deployment, and post-implementation supportfor payment solutionsExcellentstakeholder management and communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiencesKnowledge ofagile methodologiesand experience working in Agile/Scrum teams is a plusModis International Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers in the UK.
