Aatom Recruitment is hiring on behalf of Local Authority for the role of OR19665 - Recruitment Officer.Job Title: OR19665 - Recruitment OfficerContract Duration: 6 MonthsHours per week: 35Work Pattern: Hybrid with 2 days in the office and 3 remote, will be more during training and induction.Role OverviewKey ResponsibilitiesThe Recruitment officer role will provide recruitment advice, guidance and support to applicants and managers in accordance with Council policies and procedures, employment legislation, and HR established best practiceThe Recruitment officer will provide advice and guidance and support to ensure vacancies are advertised through appropriate channels such as social media, with partner agencies and external professional websites and publications, and via our ATSWith training, the Recruitment officer will competently operate and be able to advise on the use of internal recruitment and applicant tracking systems, HR/Payroll systems and other suppliersFacilitate, review and verify eligibility to work documentation, references, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications, and medical screening documentation in a timely and efficient manner for new employees / workersRepresent the Council at job fairs and employment events promoting opportunities to a diverse range of candidatesWork as part of a busy team, the role of a Recruitment officer will be to take a flexible and agile approach to their day to day, and be able to approach each vacancy with a fresh approachBeing a Brand ambassador for the council, the Recruitment officer will attend events alongside colleagues to engage with our communuities, schools and UniversitiesAbout you:You will have and HR/Recruitment qualification or relevant experience in recruitment or talent acquisition either in house or recruitment agencyDemonstrable experience of providing a first class quality customer service in a busy and fast paced environmentA sound understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes including vetting and barring process.Experience in using applicant tracking or e-recruitment systemsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work and communicate with managers of all different levels both verbally and presentation wiseGood ICT skills and confident with Microsoft Office tools and working knowledge of using AIYou will be a brand ambassador for the Council in all you do Aatom Recruitment is hiring on behalf of Local Authority for the role of OR19665 - Recruitment Officer.
