**DevOps Engineer (Lead Level)

• 6 Months** Location: London (Hybrid Working) Clearance: SC Cleared Required

We’re currently supporting a major Azure transformation programme and are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to play a key role in the migration and modernisation of a large enterprise platform.

This position suits a hands-on DevOps professional with strong cloud engineering and Infrastructure-as-Code experience, capable of shaping secure, automated Azure environments while working closely with cross-functional delivery teams.

The Role You’ll be embedded within a cloud engineering function, contributing across the entire delivery lifecycle — from solution design through to automation, deployment, and operational support. The focus will be on building scalable Azure platforms using modern DevOps and engineering practices.

Required Experience

• Active or recently expired Security Clearance (SC)
• Proven hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure in complex environments
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and automation tooling
• Advanced Infrastructure-as-Code skills, ideally using Terraform
• Comfortable working closely with product and engineering teams to uplift cloud maturity
• Background in SRE or production support is advantageous but not essential

Key Responsibilities

• Support the migration of applications and services into Azure
• Guide teams through the adoption of the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
• Design and implement automated deployment pipelines using GitHub
• Build and maintain IaC solutions using tools such as Terraform, Artifactory, and Backstage
• Act as a technical point of contact across engineering, security, testing, and delivery functions
• Provide advanced operational support, incident response, and troubleshooting within cloud platforms
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to ensure delivery success
