The Role:
At term time teachers, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join a Science Department at a fantastic school near Tunbridge Wells. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of physics and the ability to inspire students at all levels, from KS3 through to A-Level or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Use innovative teaching methods to accommodate a range of learning styles
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and school-wide events
- Support students in academic and extracurricular science activities
Requirements:
- A degree in Physics or a related subject
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Proven experience teaching Physics, ideally up to A-Level
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development
- Passion for inspiring young minds and promoting scientific thinking
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching History in UK secondary schools
- An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
- Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Hold the right to work in the UK
