- Possibility of extensionLocation: Based in the London officeRate: £700 - £748 per day outside IR35Key SkillsExperience in a SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) environment This could include commercial shipping, government agencies (e.g. Maritime and coastguard agency) or an adjacent area.Familiarity with hydrography and navigational charts Ideally S-100 but S-57 at a minimum.Cloud & Legacy Migration Successfully contributed to the migration of critical legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure.Working knowledge of a major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.Experience working on large, complex codebases and legacy systems.Nice to have skills.Knowledge of S-101 (ENC) and other S-100 product specificationsExperience with chart compilation tools or GIS platforms used for hydrographic data processing.Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD best practices.Experience with chart compilation tools or GIS platforms used for hydrographic data processing.Proficiency in at least one relevant legacy language (e.g., Java, C#, or.NET 8.0) or database system (e.g., Oracle or SQL Server).
