My customer is seeking a lead DevOps Engineer with strong cloud and Infrastructure-as-code experience to deliver and support a major Azure application migration and modernisation programme. The successful candidate will work the full development lifecycle and will play a key role is deg, automating and delivering secure cloud solutions.

The Security Cleared DevOps engineer will have strong expertise within Azure, Terraform and GitHub.

Key Responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer:

• Lead the migration of applications within Azure.
• Guide teams through a transition from Microsoft WAF to the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
• Create automation by implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code working with tools such as Artifactory and Backstage.
• Apply strong knowledge of Azure Policy and key Azure components that influence successful migrations.
• Represent the engineering team in projects and work closely with PMs, Security, Testing, and Application teams.
• Provide SRE-level support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for complex cloud environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge-sharing across the team.
• Engage with stakeholders, partners, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.

Essential Skills of the DevOps Engineer:

• Must hold a current Security Clearance or recently lapsed SC Clearance.
• Must have extensive experience using Azure, GitHub, CI/CD, automation tooling and Cloud networking.
• Expert level Infrastructure as Code IaC experience (Terraform preferred).
• Ability to work with product teams to uplift cloud skills and embed modern engineering practices.
• Experience as an SRE is desirable but not essential.

The successful DevOps Engineer must be available to work 2 days a week onsite in Central London.
