Materials PlannerHire basis - fixed term contract or on going temp with potential for temp to permSalary - up to £36,000paLocation: CreweWorking Hours: 37.5 hrs Monday to Friday, 08.00 - 16.00 hrs (30 minutes unpaid lunch break)Responsible to: Head of Supply Chain & HM CommercialRequirementYou must be able to undertake Personal Track Safety Medical - screening and training orJob DescriptionThis role will form a key part of the Materials Management Team. Working in a fast paced project environment this role will be responsible for ensuring optimum material availability for Heavy Maintenance projects using relevant tools and with full utilisation of the MRP/ERP system.Key dutiesEnsure a purchase order requisition is provided for each material purchase and that the correct verification and authorisation, in line with current DFA, has been providedPlace required material orders in a timely fashion and in line with purchasing procedure through SAPTrack material purchases using BOM Trackers and ensure the trackers are maintained dailyEnsure forward planning needs are monitored and orders placed in line with relevant lead timesExpedite purchases direct with suppliers as requiredMonitor & GRPO service requests in line with expected time framesManage key and risk items and liaise with the relevant Project Engineer to ensure materials risks are flagged in a timely mannerComplete Repair/Return schedules on a unit by unit basis, notifying stores & suppliers of intended delivery & collection dates and monitor the movementsClose out each unit departure in full following the close out procedure within the defined KPIUse trend information to adjust min/max levels as required in accordance with procedure to ensure optimum levels of stock heldMonitor expected usage against actual on a unit by unit basis, where there are discrepancies undertake an investigation ensure stock is adjusted at the time of discoveryMonitor the daily stock order reports and place required orders dailyLiaise with the Materials Team Leader and Stores team reference non-conformance item re-order rateComplete invoice query's in a timely mannerContribute to Group savings targetsEnsure compliance with business policy & procedures at all timesPerson SpecificationQualification and Requirements* Minimum 2 years in Supply Chain/ Materials Management RoleDesired Experience and Knowledge* Purchase Order Management (Requisition > PO > Delivery process)* Demonstrable experience in maintenance of detailed Bill Of Materials* Proven background in Supplier liaison / Supplier Performance* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills* Strong IT Skills - good working knowledge of MS Office* Conversant with Inventory Control techniques e.g min/max, 2 bin, stock scheduling* Understanding of Material Non-Conformance Processes* Relevant experience of delivering in an engineering based Purchasing/Materials Management environment* SAP user or similarKey Skills* Able to problem solve and work to targets/KPI* Successful and concise communication at all levels* Good IT skills (Microsoft Packages in particular EXCEL & Word)* Excellent understanding of working to standards and proceduresPersonal Qualities* Good analytical skills* Ability to work with others and build good, professional relationships* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a positive attitude* Be adaptive to change* Self-motivated and proactiveBehavioursYou work with others to achieve your goalsYou respect others and your differencesYou say thank you and give praise to othersYou give others feedback to help us improveYou deliver great service to our customers every dayYou see things from the customers view to help us make the right decisionsYou seek and share customer feedback to help us improve their experienceYou are professional, polite and friendlyYou continuously raise your standardsYou keep our colleagues, customers and yourself safeYou think about the environment and what steps you can take to make a differenceYou take responsibility for your actionsYou are the best you can be and do your job with passion, pride and positivityYou act with honesty and integrityYou solve challenges by thinking differentlyYou suggest and adopt ideas and improvement to make our business betterYou understand how to contribute to the aims of our businessYou embrace technologyTrainingFire safetyFire MarshallBasic first aidDefibrillator trainingErgonomicsCOSHH AwarenessSafety in the workplacePTSDepot safetyAccident / incident reportingElectricity awarenessWorking at heightsPPE awareness and usageKey Performance IndicatorsPlease enter the relevant Medical Standard level as per the requirement of SMS Medical Fitness*** Medical Standard - Personal Track Safety1.
