Indirect (IT) Procurement Expert - German Speaker - 6 month Interim

A Swiss industry leader, who are extremely well established and have a global presence are looking for a hands-on Indirect / IT Procurement Expert to support the Global Head of Procurement during a busy transition period. This role is focused on execution and is ideal for someone who enjoys being operational, close to the detail, and able to deliver quick, tangible results. The role focuses across the Indirect categories - supporting category leaders in developing category-specific procurement strategies for IT, including SaaS & Cloud-based solutions, Hardware, Cyber Security and infrastructure.

Day to day responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Global Head of Procurement to support day-to-day activity across Indirect categories, with a strong focus on IT and Professional Services.
• Manage sourcing processes, run RFPs, negotiate with suppliers, and handle contract management.
• Keep in-flight procurement initiatives moving and ensure continuity during a period of organisational change.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align procurement activity with timelines, budgets, governance and compliance requirements.
• Drive cost optimisation, mitigate risk and influence supplier performance.
• Support digitalisation and process-improvement activities, including operational work in SAP Ariba.

Ideal background and experience:

• Strong experience across Indirect Procurement, ideally with significant exposure to IT and Professional Services.
• A practical, hands-on mindset - someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and executing.
• Proven experience in sourcing, negotiation, supplier management and contract delivery.
• Good understanding of procurement governance and operating within established frameworks.
• Experience with SAP Ariba or similar procurement systems.
• Fluent German / Fluent English.
• Calm, clear communicator who is comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders
