Reed recruitment is delighted to support our client in Western Australia. An unmissable opportunity for an experienced Instrument Technician to join a dynamic team in the heart of Australia’s booming Oil & Gas sector.

Day-to-day of the role
- Calibrate, loop check, function test, and troubleshoot instrumentation (flow, level, temperature, pressure transmitters).
- Test fire and gas systems like a pro.
- Handle shutdown and control valves on large industrial projects.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, data sheets, calibration reports, loop drawings, cause & effects, and supplier manuals like second nature.
- Use various test and calibration equipment with confidence.
- Bonus points if you know Foundation Fieldbus (not essential).
- Follow safety procedures like your life depends on it (because it does!).
- Be part of a high-energy testing and start-up team that gets things done.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Time-served in Instrumentation & Control.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in the field.
- Experience in the Petrochemical / Oil & Gas industries is essential.
- Proven experience in installation, commissioning, fault finding, etc.
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as P&ID’s and loop drawings.
- Knowledge of Foundation Fieldbus is advantageous but not essential.
