This role suits someone confident supporting a range of needs includingASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, and cognition & learning.Your Role Will Include:Providing1:1 and small-group SEND supportHelping pupils regulate emotions and behaviours throughout the daySupporting curriculum access in English, maths, science, and wider subjectsImplementing personalised support plans and EHCP targetsAssisting with transitions, routines, and behaviour support strategiesGiving feedback to teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teamsBuilding trusting, professional relationships with pupils who require consistencySupporting interventions that boost literacy, numeracy, and social communicationWe're Looking For:Experience supporting young people with SEND in a school, PRU, or youth work settingStrong behaviour management skills and patience during challenging momentsUnderstanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundariesAbility to follow behaviour plans, regulation techniques, and escalation protocolsResilience, reliability, and commitment to long-term consistencyConfidence working alongside teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teamsAwareness of the secondary curriculumA nurturing, calm, and adaptable approachAbout the School:This is a caring and community-focused secondary school with a strong inclusion department.
