The role focuses on translating detent into practical, safe and compliant access systems. Assist in the design engineering of façade access and maintenance systems for new and existing buildings. Prepare and develop façade access drawings, feasibility diagrams layouts, details and sketches using CAD and relevant software to incorporate in the project repot and specification. Translate conceptual façade access strategies into clear technical drawings suitable for design development and construction stages. Clear knowledge in application of façade access systems including BMUs, davits, monorails, rope access provisions and other forms of access required to work at height. Support façade and façade access design teams on appropriate façade access strategies and proposals. Review deformation and drawing submissions for compliance with project requirements, legislation and applicable codes and standards. Contribute to the assessment of façade access requirements. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure integrated and practical design solutions. Skills and Attributes Strong problem-solving and organisational skills. Should be capable of multi-tasking. Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative. Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision. Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills and technical / industry jargons. Clear communication skills and a professional commitment to engineering best practice. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in engineering (Civil/Structural), Architectural Engineering, or equivalent. At least 1-2 years of working experience in Architecture/Building/Construction Industry. Preferably with previous experience with Façade/Architectural works
- structural steel, curtain wall, sky light, metal works, inspection, quality control, etc. Familiarity with façade access systems and the review of technical drawings and submissions. Demonstrate a desire to work in a multidisciplinary team finding holistic building design solutions. Proficient in CAD, BIM (2D/3D)/Sketch up or other design softwares. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Points.
