You will join our Energy Market Unit As our new Lead Process Engineer in our energy unit, you will join a growing team of highly experienced professionals in Chennai. Our services encompass owner's engineering, FEL 0 to 3 phases, and detailed engineering for the process, chemical, petrochemical, metal industries, and gas infrastructure sectors. Serving global clients, your key role will be to lead multidisciplinary projects, deliver high-quality technical solutions, and establish yourself as a trusted advisor to our clients.

Understand client needs and provide solutions for existing plants or new facilities Develop process design packages across various engineering phases Responsible for delivering complete process packages including process calculations, schemes, PFDs, P&IDs, Service and Material Index, Line List, Heat and Mass balance. Handle process inputs for equipment datasheets, control valves, relief devices, operation and control philosophy Ensure process design meets statutory requirements. Participating in workshops like HAZOP, design reviews, etc., Interface with other disciplines and stakeholders to meet process requirements. Liaise with external stakeholders like process licensors, OEMs, clients, and certification agencies. Lead and guide the team to achieve project objectives. Support team development, estimates, proposals, and ensure quality of work.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering from reputed university 20+ years of global multidiscipline engineering & design experience in chemical / process plants Demonstrated ability in understanding the chemical process flow, licensor requirements, and workaround to resolve the challenges / problems / optimization identified as client need Proven experience in pilot plants, scaling up proven pilots / existing process is MUST Good knowledge and understanding of various types of process equipment Good exposure to process control schemes, O&C philosophy, relief systems, etc., Skilled in delivering complete process packages as lead including calculations, line sizing, equipment selection and sizing, HMB, MSDs, PFDs, P&IDs, Line List, process datasheets, etc., Strong in early phases of the engineering FEL 0 to 3 - Feasibility, Concept, FEED, debottlenecking, facility augmentation, troubleshooting, etc., Strong in European design codes and standards Handson experience in software like Aspen Simulator, UniSim, HTRI, etc., will be an advantage Participated in various Process and Safety related workshops like PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, etc., Experience in Decarbonization, Sustainable initiatives, Life extension is preferred
