We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to be part of our Global Buildings Central Enablement Support Team in Mumbai, India.  You will work with the regional Opportunity/Tender Owner/Manager to help manage the bid, from positioning (Decision Gate 1) through to final proposal submission (Decision Gate 3) (and Decision Gate 4 as appropriate) primarily focussing on the Tender Stage, to organise and bring together bid teams and lead PQQ/Tender stages, as necessary. You will provide challenge and rigour to the bid process, implementing a best practice approach that will be shared across the Global Buildings business. The team will work directly on our most important strategic bids, but at the same time help manage and build the Tender Excellence hub - the ‘go to’ place for all our bids where we have access to our best material.

Main Role Responsibilities Partners closely with the relevant Opportunity/Tender Owner/Manager to support the bid planning and management of specific client opportunities from initiation to completion. This includes coordination across all phases of the pursuit lifecycle, such as early positioning and client engagement, expressions of interest (EOIs), opportunity qualification, development and submission of proposals/bids, and preparation and delivery of client interviews or presentations. Ensures alignment between client needs, opportunity strategy, and Ramboll’s commercial and technical objectives throughout the pursuit. Supports the Governance process by preparing and coordinating all required supporting materials for internal decision gates. This includes developing clear business cases, risk assessments, opportunity summaries, pricing strategies, and approval documentation to enable informed go/no-go and bid/no-bid decisions in line with Ramboll’s governance requirements. Supports the development of the Pursuit Win Plan by coordinating the definition of a compelling value proposition, identifying and evaluating potential partnering or joint-venture strategies, and gathering relevant market intelligence. Conducts competitor analysis, assesses client drivers and decision criteria, and integrates insights into a clear and differentiated win strategy designed to maximize the likelihood of success. Leads the Ramboll PQQ, proposal, and interview production process, ensuring a structured, efficient, and compliant approach. Facilitates the development of strong sales messages, themes, and narratives that clearly articulate Ramboll’s value and differentiators. Ensures full compliance with client requirements, bid instructions, and internal processes, while integrating technical quality, commercial considerations, and pricing into a cohesive and compelling submission. Manages all aspects of the bid team, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders and technical contributors. Oversees the resource selection process, assigns roles and responsibilities, and manages proposal coordinators, graphic design resources, and document production (DP) teams. Ensures effective collaboration across disciplines and alignment between technical, quality, and commercial responses. Oversees content development across all proposal sections, coordinating technical inputs and ensuring consistency of messaging, tone, and structure. Reviews and challenges content to ensure it aligns with the agreed win strategy, value proposition, and client priorities, and that it meets quality standards, compliance requirements, and deadlines. Conducts regular status and progress meetings with the bid team, tracking actions, risks, and milestones against the pursuit plan. Communicates relevant client intelligence, updates, and strategic insights across the team to maintain alignment, address issues proactively, and ensure a coordinated and high-quality pursuit response.

Qualifications: Required qualifications, skills and knowledge Minimum 8 to 12 years’ experience in Bid/Pursuit management in similar market sectors/industry with evidence of leading significant/strategic pursuits Understanding and experience of applying best practice pursuit/bid process (eg Shipley) and of sharing best practice with others End-to-end bid lifecycle management (PQQ, ITT, RFP, RFQ) Ability to interpret and respond to client requirements and evaluation criteria. Development of win strategies, themes, and value propositions. Compliance checking and quality assurance of bid submissions. Experience with CRM and bid management tools. Understanding of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 4500) Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to ‘bring people along’ Ability to build internal and external relationships effectively across sector and hierarchy Excellent proposal planning management and development skills. Fluent English speaking and writing
