Overview: Join our SDAP Connectivity team to architect, optimize, and deliver robust networking and DevOps solutions across on-premises and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. You will drive automation, enable secure migrations, and streamline operational processes. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, proactive collaboration, and the ability to independently drive projects forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, optimize, and manage network systems (topology, security zones, connectivity patterns) in both legacy and cloud environments.
- Architect and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions using GCP’s native and managed services (VPC, Peering, Cloud NAT, Cloud Interconnects, BMS, GCVE, Filestore, NetApp, etc.).
- Lead and execute migrations from on-premises to cloud, including planning, data transfer, application reconfiguration, and validation/testing.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (preferably via Azure DevOps), automating infrastructure deployments using Terraform, Ansible, and Cloud Run.
- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance for networking and cloud platforms; provide operational documentation and handover plans.
- Configure, manage, and optimize Juniper (MX, SRX, QFX) and Palo Alto (physical/virtual, Panorama) network devices.
- Develop and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and HCL; contribute to codebase improvements.
- Create and maintain automation scripts (Python, Shell); leverage APIs to expedite data collection/configuration and reduce human error.
- Develop agentic AI automations using frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, Autogen, or MetaGPT.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Application, Security, Google, etc.) to ensure seamless operations and migrations.
- Design, implement, and optimize Nautobot plugins (strong plus).
- Champion best practices in security, governance, identity access, and least privilege principles.
- Take initiative, drive tasks independently, and proactively engage with stakeholders to resolve complex challenges.
Technical Requirements:
- Advanced programming skills in Python; proficiency with Shell scripts, YAML, JSON, HCL (Terraform), and general programming experience in multiple languages.
- Deep understanding of networking: BGP, routing (inter-VR, policy-based, protocols, filtering), switching (VLANs, Layer 2, VRRP), firewall/security (L2-L7, NAT, IPSec, encryption, URL filtering, proxies).
- Experience with automation frameworks and tools: Terraform, Ansible, Algosec (or similar), Azure DevOps (pipelines, GIT), Cloud Run.
- Knowledge of containerization and hypervisors (mainly Linux OS, KVM is a plus).
- Experience in CI/CD and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with Nautobot, especially plugin development (strong plus).
- Strong understanding of IT security concepts (risk assessment, countermeasures, mitigation strategies).
- Experience with Squid Proxy and M2VM (GCP migration tool) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Proactive team player with excellent initiative.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to drive matters independently and liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
