About the role

We're looking for a high-performing Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team at Pleo. This role is a unique opportunity to help shape investment decisions with clear financial insight and drive financial outcomes through target setting and support in daily operations. What you’ll do:

• Act as the primary finance business partner for the Product and R&D function
• Drive forecasting, budgeting, and business case development for Product initiatives
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to evaluate ROI, roadmap prioritisation, and performance metrics
• Translate complex financial insights into actionable recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders
• Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with clear financial narratives

What you bring:

• 5+ years’ of work experience across finance business partnering, strategy and / or consulting
• Ideally proven experience supporting a Product or R&D function in a tech/SaaS environment
• Strong commercial mindset, analytical skills, and comfort with ambiguity
• Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders with clarity and confidence
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a plus

Who you’ll be working with and reporting to

You’ll report to our FP&A Director and work closely with teams in Product & Research and Development. Our team of 8 is highly collaborative and dedicated to providing great finance partnership across the organisation.

How you’ll develop in this role

In your first 6 months at Pleo, you’ll:

• Work closely with Technology and Product leaders to identify and report on key drivers of performance across a range of distribution channels
• Lead the development of a holistic business plan to ensure Technology and Product strategies can be executed and scaled effectively
• Grow your skills in Software and Fintech product impact, taking on new challenges as the company continues to scale.
• Act as a ‘mini-CFO’ for the Product team, ensuring they reach their operational targets while staying within budgets, and helping to communicate with senior leaders regarding team performance.
