Lead Developer

You’ll step in as lead developer, inheriting a mature but evolving platform and taking responsibility for Trine’s technology going forward. We’re recruiting two engineers as part of this transition. You’ll be the technical lead, helping shape how the team and the platform evolve from here. There’s no tech manager above you; you report directly to the CEO. The Role Trine’s technology has been built and run by its founder and CTO since day one. We’re now handing over responsibility for the platform to a new technical lead. What you’ll own The full platform: backend, frontend, infrastructure, and data pipelines Technical architecture and tooling decisions

• you choose how things are built Team decisions: hire locally in Gothenburg or expand the current Vietnamese dev team AI tooling strategy across the company (everyone already uses AI daily) Tech stack Backend C# /.NET Frontend Aurelia (TypeScript, HTML, SCSS) Infrastructure Azure Data & Analytics Google BigQuery, Mixpanel What makes it interesting From the outgoing developer: Full autonomy. You decide how to solve things, how and where to work. No layers of approval, no product managers writing tickets for you. AI-native workflows. Support staff query BigQuery through Claude Code to investigate cases. Non-developers submit pull requests for bug fixes. You’d shape how all of this evolves. Genuine complexity. Payment flows across multiple currencies and markets, repayment tracking across borrowers, regulatory compliance, investor-facing dashboards. Decisions matter here. Real feedback loops. We run A/B tests and measure what ships. Recent feature launches have driven measurable increases in investments. You will see the direct impact of your work. What We’re Looking For Strong full-stack experience
• you’re comfortable across backend, frontend, and infrastructure Experience with C# /.NET (or willingness to work in it) Comfort working independently and making architectural decisions without a team to lean on Interest in AI tooling and how it changes development workflows A pragmatic mindset: you care about shipping things that work, not chasing the newest framework Nice to have: experience in fintech, payment systems, or regulated industries.
