HR Grievance Meeting, Investigation & Outcome Report (UK)
Description
We are seeking a UK-based, independent HR consultant to manage a formal grievance process for a small business. This is a one-off, remote assignment, and all work must be conducted with the highest standards of confidentiality, impartiality, and ACAS compliance.
Scope of Work (Fixed Fee)
- Grievance Meeting: • Chair a formal grievance meeting with the employee to hear their complaint in full. • Ensure the process is fair, impartial, and ACAS-compliant. • Take comprehensive notes to create a clear record of the meeting.
- Investigation: • Conduct a structured investigation based on the grievance. • Review relevant documents, management responses, and any witness statements (only where necessary). • Produce a neutral, factual investigation report summarising findings.
- Outcome Report: • Draft a clear, professional grievance outcome report, based on the investigation, for the employer to issue to the employee. • Ensure the report is ACAS-compliant and protects the business in the event of tribunal proceedings.
Consultant Requirements • Proven experience chairing grievance hearings in accordance with UK ACAS guidance. • Fully independent and impartial, with experience in small business employment disputes. • Skilled in conducting investigations and producing neutral, factual reports. • Able to work remotely and maintain strict confidentiality.
