Utility Advisor Consultants
- All Levels
Locations: Ideally near our Denver or Boston offices (proximity to New York, DC, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco offices also potentially OK).
As a Utility Advisor, you’ll join a dynamic consulting team partnering with leading utility clients on critical initiatives such as:
Business transformation and energy transition and decarbonization strategies
Data insights and AI applications
Utility strategy, operations, and systems advisory reliability, and resiliency
Customer transformation and digital innovation
Notably, PA’s energy and utility US team has leading expertise around critical areas such energy markets, energy policy, utility rates, and resiliency/reliability
From day one, you’ll apply and grow your analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills while contributing to high-impact projects that shape the future of the utility sector.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your level, you will:
Conduct research, gather and interpret data, and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
Develop insights and contribute to client deliverables including reports, presentations, and strategic frameworks
Support and lead stakeholder engagement, workshops, and transformation initiatives
Lead workstreams or small engagements, growing into larger programs over time
Contribute to proposals and business development efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and continuous learning
What We’re Looking For
Electric, gas, water/waste water utility or related advisory experience
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (or willingness to learn)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
Passion for solving complex problems and driving change in the energy and utilities space
Interest in strategy, digital transformation, data, and AI applications in utilities
Willingness to travel
For Mid & Senior Levels
Previous consulting, utility or regulatory experience leading workstreams or engagements of various sizes
Strong client-facing skills and ability to manage complex projects
Comfort contributing to proposals and shaping solutions for clients

Additional information
Hybrid working - our approach is to be in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week. However, the actual time you spend and where you spend it will vary by role or assignment, including up to 5 days per week on a client site or at the office.

In compliance with Colorado’s, New York & Massachusetts's Equal Pay Transparency Act, PA is required to provide a reasonable salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the State of Massachusetts and is commensurate with experience, market data, applicant skills, internal equity and/or degrees/certifications. Salary Range: $124,100 - $226,200
