Instrument Engineer

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for an Insulation Engineer for an exciting project at Stord. Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling. What will you be doing? Perform design verification Verify engineering and vendor documentation; provide feedback to suppliers on missing information or discrepancies Ensure the building method is implemented in EIT shop engineering Divide work packages for optimal production efficiency Verify location, installation, and HSSE-friendly dethe 3D model (PDMS) Follow up on DCNs to ensure implementation in work packages Prepare EIT work packages Verify interfaces across all disciplines (EIT, piping, structure, civil, HVAC), suppliers, subcontractors, production, and planning Strive for good HSSE performance throughout the work Interface with IT/IS related to engineering register, E3D/Navis and MIPS We think you should have: Skills: you have knowledge and experience with DAK-tools and general computing and familiarity with as-built drawings and mechanical interface drawings You have software Skills with MS Office 365 (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Planner, Power BI, Teams, SharePoint) MIPS and E3D You have Bachelor’s degree (relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education). Other Requirements: Valid FSEL course, First Aid (practical), and EX course.
