Description SLB Capturi is a leading carbon capture technology company. We serve a range of carbon-emitting industries including cement, blue hydrogen, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power among others. SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials. We are looking for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer Responsibilities: Technical safety lead in projects and internal initiatives with responsibility for deliverables within technical safety Oversee and ensure appropriate risk management of the projects Develop and review project specific technical safety documentation, while ensuring compliance with the project and regulatory requirements and relevant standards Contribute to creating methodologies, procedures and other required documents tailored for improving the quality of our deliverables in CCUS projects Review technical safety aspects related to hazards substances, hazardous area classification, and compliance with standards. Plan and facilitate risk and safety reviews: HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP and SIL/LOPA studies Work with project and technical safety teams across multiple locations Your qualifications Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline (or similar) Minimum 5 years’ overall experience in Technical Safety with experience in discipline lead role Risk Management : expertise in identifying, evaluating, and implementing effective risk treatment strategies Process Safety : strong knowledge of API and ISO safety standards, including sectionalization, overpressure protection principles, Process and Emergency Shutdown (PSD, ESD) philosophies Functional Safety : proficient in the design and verification of safety instrumented systems and compliance with relevant standards Fire and Gas Systems : knowledge in the specification, integration and mapping of fire and gas detection and protection systems. Layout, escape routes and safety equipment: knowledge of layout safety reviews, escape routes, safety equipment and emergency systems (power, lighting, public address) Good multidisciplinary understanding with strong problem-solving and communication skills Analytical mindset with a drive to bridge technical and commercial challenges This is what we offer Not just a job, but a career where you can take an active role in the industrial energy transition.
