Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: Germany; Aachen, Germany; Remote, Sweden; Stockholm Experience: Mid-senior Job Function: Engineering Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Computer & Network Security ABOUT THE POSITION Develops and maintains software applications, implementing features and ensuring code quality. Collaborates with team members to design and troubleshoot complex solutions. The position can be based in the Aachen office or remotely within Germany, with occasional visits every few months. It can also be remote from Sweden or near Stockholm with similar office visits. Applicants must hold a valid Right to Work in either Germany or Sweden, depending on their location. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, implement, and maintain software features and functionalities.. Conduct code reviews, pull requests and ensure adherence to coding standards. Work closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams to solve complex problems. Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and practices. Identify and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks. Provide guidance and support to junior engineers. Work closely with the Quality Assurance teams and participate in QA efforts when needed. Participate in internal and external product support when needed Contribute to technical documentation and project reports. Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development processes SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Significant experience in software engineering or a related field. Knowledgeable of software development in one or more of the following: IT Security, PKI, open source software and hardware security modules Linux and possibly Linux networking Java Enterprise, Java Python, Bash scripting JavaScript / TypeScript Optionally: SQL, Embedded Software Strategic thinking, exceptional problem-solving abilities, high-level proficiency in relevant tools and technologies. Proficiency in design patterns, strong architectural skills, and advanced debugging abilities. Ability to lead complex projects, drive strategic initiatives, and influence decision-making. Ability to take ownership of complex tasks, mentor team members, and drive technical improvements. Extensive knowledge of industry trends, company strategy, and cross-functional processes. Deep knowledge of software architecture principles, code optimization, and continuous integration practices. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
