Analysis/Marine/Project Engineer

The main tasks will be within Subsea and Marine Industry including Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind. IKM Ocean Design is a leading, innovative, and independent subsea engineering company within the global energy sector. With background from oil and gas, the core strength of the company is subsea field layout developments, pipeline and cable/umbilical engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, marine industry, and renewables. We are looking for people that are fascinated by engineering challenges, structural FEM analysis, field development and marine operations in Haugesund. IKM Ocean Design currently has offices in Sandnes, Bergen, Oslo, Trondheim and Haugesund. Job assignments: Manage, plan, and perform FEM analyses, marine analyses and operations within any of IKM Ocean Designs or other IKM companies projects Prepare and present analysis results. Provide technical support and advice to projects. Participate in Concept, FEED and Detail Design projects. Work Location Haugesund (24/7
- office building). Qualifications: BSc, MSc Degree or higher is required. (Marine, Machine, Civil Construction, Building, Static, Dynamic, FEM, Physics). Communication skills in English and Norwegian, written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Be systematic and accurate. Be proactive, seeking advice and sharing own experiences with others. Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements. The applicant must have a valid Norwegian Work Permit. Your experiences: From engineering or marine contracting (senior position). Numerical Methods (FEM). FE Analysis Tools such as ANSYS, ANSYS Workbench, SIMLA, OrcaFlex and/or STAAD.Pro, or equivalent FE-programs. IKM utilizes ANSYS, ANSYS Workbench, SIMLA, OrcaFlex and STAAD. Programming languages such as Python, Visual Basic, MATLAB, etc. MS Office standard software. Mathcad, etc. Good data/programming skills is an advantage. 0 to 30 years relevant work experience. Preferably have working knowledge in NORSOK‐standards, DNV standards and recommended practices (not a requirement). Experience from subsea industry is beneficial but not a pre-requisite for applying.
