• Join Us in Developing Finnish Industry! Our industry client uses an IBM mainframe for daily operations in factories. Mainframe applications cover functions for order handling, product and production planning, some production reporting, delivery, invoicing, and quality operations. The mainframe is also responsible for printing and delivering customer documents. The client will start a mainframe infrastructure development project. The current environment will be renovated with an external vendor.

We are looking for a project manager who will participate in this development project and lead the work from the client’s point of view. The project manager will act as the client’s representative and ensure that the development reaches the targets set by the client for the project.

The development project will be managed by a combination of a vendor project manager and the client’s IT project manager. The vendor project manager will have overall responsibility for project management (timeline, tasks, etc.).

Work Content

• Working as a project manager in a mainframe development project
• Leading the work from the client’s point of view
• Collaborating with an external vendor who assigns their own project manager
• The external vendor is an international company; communication in English
• The timeline is tight, and the deadline is very strict

Required Experience

• Comprehensive experience with z/OS mainframe, both hardware and associated software
• Experience in capacity optimization (memory, MIPS, LPARs)
• Proven track record in successful project management
• Experience working in international projects
