Senior Producer

Description

Responsibilities: Planing and scheduling the production process Manage all aspects of production: briefing, costing, booking in of approvals, setting up work in progress meetings, final approvals, sending out purchase orders and finally reconning the job, all in a timeous and effective manner. Maintain communication with necessary creative, client service & production teams to facilitate workflow Must feel comfortable being client facing Identifies potential legal issues and interfaces with Head of Production to resolve issues Responsible for negotiation, generation and managing all aspects of schedules and budgets Present production budgets and schedules and address production-related questions both internally and with the client Source the best postproduction partners for each job if necessary Build and maintain relationships with third party production suppliers Negotiate competitive pricing/scheduling Keep abreast of current industry and technological trends Fosters innovative solutions Ensures adherence to the highest industry standards Accountable for maintaining relationships, client satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is on strategy, on time and within budget and that projects are actualized, well documented, archived and closed Ensure that all materials arrive at their destination on time, including final masters for trafficking Cultivate strong relationships with all internal departments and industry partners Provide general and admin support to the Head of Agency production Must be able to run multiple projects: radio, animation, broadcast (shoot) and content productions Requirements Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification 8 or more years’ experience as a Broadcast Producer in an advertising agency, or production house Knowledge of content & commercial postproduction and scheduling processes Experience in managing television, digital content & postproduction timelines Experience producing web content & mobile content will be advantageous Strong understanding and knowledge of production process from conception and negotiation through traffic Technical understanding of post-production, broadcast and digital deliverables Understanding and negotiating music rights Understanding on-camera renewals Excellent presentation skills Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills Impeccible admin skills Strong client relationship building skills Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team Ability to remain calm in a high pressurized environment Creative Focused Proactive and Solution driven Energetic Punctual Meticulous with attention to detail Flexible to work beyond normal office hours (overtime if and when required) Willing to work on-site (from the Ninety9cents Cape Town office)
