POSITION OVERVIEW Based at our Head Office in Gauteng - Longmeadow Site, we are currently seeking: PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE – (Johannesburg, South Africa) Reporting directly to the Managing Director , the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for; Overseeing the purchasing activities of an organization, ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality and supplier relationships. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Supplier Management identifies, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and maintain strong relationships. This includes assessing supplier performance and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Contract Negotiation negotiates contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve the best pricing and terms, ensuring that procurement activities align with the organization’s strategic goals. Procurement Strategy Development , develop and implement procurement policies and strategies that enhance efficiency and support the organization’s operational and business development objectives. Market Analysis analyses market trends and research potential suppliers to ensure the organization is getting the best value for its purchases. Both locally and internationally. Inventory Management track inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages. Reporting and Documentation maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance, and prepare reports for management review including all Puratos reporting PROFILE Education: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, CPIM or a related field and a certification in Strategic Procurement with a professional body would be an added advantage Experience: 5 –10 years previous experience in procurement or supply chain management, strong FMCG, Retail or Food Industry expertise. Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
