Overview The Vice Principal supports the Principal in providing leadership and direction in the delivery of teaching and learning in line with the school vision, mission, values, and curriculum. The Vice Principal is the most senior teacher and leader of the school, responsible for the education of all Students, management of staff, and contributing to school policy development. Key Responsibilities Leadership Provide day-to-day administration of the school to maintain a productive and disciplined learning environment. Work with school leadership to develop and implement strategies, policies, curricula, and initiatives. Ensure effective use of school resources and represent the school at key academic functions. Teaching and Learning Supervision: Monitor teaching and learning through regular lesson observations. Evaluate after-school and enrichment activities. Teach assigned subjects and monitor students’ academic performance. Ensure students remain motivated and supported in their learning. Staff Management: Lead staff meetings, assemblies, and school programs when required. Work with School Management and Human Resources in the recruitment and induction of staff. Support staff development through coaching, training, and continuous professional development initiatives. Participate in setting performance indicators and evaluating academic staff performance. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit weekly reports on academic and non-academic activities to the Principal Stay informed about developments in the British Curriculum and communicate updates to leadership. Lead parent-teacher meetings and whole-school parent meetings. Ensure effective communication with parents regarding curriculum and student progress. Additional Responsibilities: Conduct daily school rounds to observe teaching and learning activities. Track implementation of weekly academic programs and school events. Participate in planning and reviewing monthly academic activities and staffing needs. Person Specification PGDE or Master’s degree required. Minimum of 10 years’ teaching experience within a school environment. Up to 4 years’ experience in a management or leadership role in a school. Strong knowledge of the college school curriculum. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and relationship management skills. Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities. Commitment to professional development and high-quality service delivery.
