Job Summary: The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing all costs related to building and construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures. The QS ensures that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards and compliance with contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ). Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for projects. Monitor project costs and ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers. Track project progress and prepare periodic financial reports. Assess and certify contractor’s interim and final payment claims. Manage variations, claims, and cost adjustments. Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and company standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role. Professional certification (e.g., NIQS, RICS) is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of construction processes and cost management. Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying software. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
