LOCATION: Lokoja field office, Kogi State. EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time DURATION: 1 year subject to renewal Project Scope: This project will directly target persons with disabilities, their family members and other community structures, the state and local government ministries, departments and agencies, Civil Society Organizations including Organization of People with Disabilities (OPDs),Women and girls,Community Health Workersand community members in Kogi state. The project is equally a deliberate focus on strengthening the capacity of OPDS, CSOs, FBOs, government stakeholders and media platforms to understand and implement disability law in Kogi State using a structured multi-sectorial and CommunityBased Inclusive Development approach to reinforceawareness of the rights of persons with disabilities. General PositionSummary Finance Officer: Maintain financial/accounting recordsand system of the project Ensure compliance with financial provisions of the contract Guide fund utilization and monitor budgetary spending Make payments of activities Represent the organisation on meetings on finance/fund management Generate and submit financial reportson schedule Essential A degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with at least two years of post-qualification experience. A professional qualification such as ACA, CNA, or any other foreign qualification like ACCA, CIMA is an added advantage A solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures Experience in using financial software like QuickBooks, ProMISetc Advanced MS Excel skills Knowledge of financial and tax regulations Excellent analytical and numerical skills Strong ethics, with an abilityto manage confidential data. Desirable Honesty and integrity are desired attributes in this role. Multitasking and ability to work under pressure.
