Optometrist

This is a full-time, on-site position for an Optometrist based in Lagos. The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage various eye conditions, prescribe corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses, and provide vision therapy or low vision rehabilitation as needed. Additional responsibilities include counseling patients on eye care practices, collaborating with other eye care professionals, and staying updated on advancements in optometry and vision care. A high degree of professionalism and empathy, along with excellent patient communication, will be essential in this role. Qualifications Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing vision impairments and eye diseases Knowledge of prescribing glasses, contact lenses, and other corrective measures Skills in vision therapy and low vision rehabilitation Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide patient education and counseling Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain a high level of professionalism Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited program State licensure as an Optometrist in Nigeria Experience in the field of eye care or a specialization is a plus Attention to detail and commitment to excellent patient care
