Nigeria Learning Passport Facilitator

Job Summary The Facilitator will deliver learning sessions using the Nigeria Learning Passport platform, support learners to access digital content, and ensure effective engagement of children in structured learning activities. The role includes mentoring learners, managing learning centres, and supporting monitoring and reporting activities. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning Support: Facilitate learning sessions using the Nigeria Learning Passport platform Support learners in navigating and using digital learning devices and applications Deliver structured lessons in literacy, numeracy, life skills, and other approved subjects Provide individual and group learning support Promote inclusive, safe, and child-friendly learning environments. Learner Engagement and Community Mobilization: Encourage regular attendance and active participation of learners Work closely with parents, caregivers, and community leaders to promote education Identify and follow up with out-of-school children and vulnerable learners Support awareness activities on the importance of digital learning. Learning Centre Management: Maintain orderly and safe learning spaces Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of digital devices and learning materials Support distribution and tracking of learning equipment Report technical challenges or damages promptly. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting: Maintain accurate attendance and learning progress records Support baseline data collection and ongoing monitoring and evaluation activities Submit weekly and monthly activity reports Participate in review meetings and trainings. Safeguarding and Compliance: Adhere strictly to VISTA Initiative safeguarding, child protection, and PSEA policies Promote gender equality, inclusion, and disability-friendly practices Ensure confidentiality and ethical standards in all project activities. Zero-Tolerance Policies: VISTA Initiative has zero tolerance for: Fraud, corruption, and financial misconduct Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and Sexual Harassment (SH) Abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children and vulnerable persons Conflict of interest and abuse of office Discrimination, harassment, and any form of unethical conduct All staff are required to uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and transparency. Any violation may result in disciplinary action, including termination and possible legal action. Required Qualifications and Experience Minimum of NCE, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field At least 1-2 years of experience in teaching, facilitation, or community education programmes Experience in humanitarian or development settings is an added advantage Good digital literacy and ability to use tablets, smartphones, and learning platforms Good communication skills in English and local languages (Hausa, Kanuri, and Shuwa Arabic preferred) Strong interpersonal and child-friendly facilitation skills Willingness to work in r
