Job Summary The Academy Manager at VTL Academy is a dual-focus leader responsible for both operational excellence and aggressive revenue growth. This role is primarily tasked with positioning the Academy as the premier provider of Corporate Training and Talent as a Service (TaaS) solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between education and industry, converting VTL’s curriculum into high-value B2B offerings and transforming our graduates into a steady pipeline of "job-ready" talent for corporate partners. You will not just manage an academy; you will build a scalable business unit that solves the regional talent gap. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Revenue Growth (Primary Focus) Corporate Training Sales: Identify, pitch, and secure high-ticket training contracts with corporate organizations to upskill their existing workforce. Talent as a Service (TaaS): Develop and sell a "Talent-on-Demand" model, connecting our top-tier graduates with corporate partners for internships, placements, or outsourced technical roles. Strategic Partnerships: Negotiate and sign MoUs with tech hubs, government agencies, and certification bodies to increase the Academy’s market share. Monetization Strategy: Drive revenue through B2B sponsorships, grants, and customized curriculum development for external clients. Market Intelligence & Product Alignment Market Analysis: Conduct continuous research into the IT job market (DevOps, Data Science, Cybersecurity) to ensure our "product" (the students) meets the specific hiring needs of Lagos’ corporate sector. Commercial Curriculum Design: Work with the academic team to ensure training programs are "employer-backwards" designed—built specifically to satisfy the requirements of high-paying corporate partners. Student Success & Placement (TaaS Pipeline) Placement Rate ROI: Own the "Placement Rate" KPI, ensuring a high percentage of graduates are absorbed into the workforce via VTL’s partner network. Employability Coaching: Oversee the integration of soft skills and "corporate readiness" training to ensure the VTL talent brand remains premium. Alumni Monetization: Develop pathways for continuous learning and recurring revenue from Academy alumni. Operational & Academic Leadership Faculty Management: Recruit and manage high-impact facilitators who possess both technical expertise and industry credibility. Hybrid Delivery: Oversee the execution of high-quality learning experiences across physical, online, and bootcamp formats. Quality Assurance: Ensure all programs meet international standards and local regulatory requirements. Marketing & Brand Positioning B2B Brand Authority: Collaborate with the marketing team to position VTL Academy as a thought leader in Human Capital Development. Lead Generation: Oversee digital campaigns and workshops specifically designed to attract both high-value students and corporate HR decision-makers.
