About the Role Pack’N’Pay is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead and scale our sales operations across retail and distribution channels. This role will drive revenue growth through structured field sales, community penetration, and cluster-based selling strategies across Pack’N’Pay and Pack’N’Pay Lite. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership with deep market understanding, particularly in FMCG, open markets, and community-driven sales environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth across retail, community, and distribution channels. Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sales managers, field agents, and representatives across assigned territories. Drive cluster-based selling by identifying key market zones, communities, and high-potential trade areas. Expand market presence through community engagement, retailer onboarding, and relationship management. Oversee sales activities across Pack’N’Pay and Pack’N’Pay Lite, ensuring alignment with business goals. Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance expectations for all sales teams. Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and routes to market within Port Harcourt and surrounding areas. Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to optimize strategies. Collaborate with operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives. Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and training to build a high-performing sales culture. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management. Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage). 4–5 years of proven experience in sales management, preferably within FMCG or related sectors. Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a structured sales environment. Demonstrated experience managing field sales teams and driving grassroots/community sales. Solid understanding of retail markets, informal trade channels, and distribution networks. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM systems. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
