Job Description Job Introduction: Adexen has been mandated by a leading FMCG company in Nigeria to recruit a Group Marketing & Sales Manager. The position is based in Kano / Nigeria. Responsibilities The Group Head
- Marketing & Sales will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s marketing and sales strategy across all channels. The role involves leading brand development, driving revenue growth, managing high-performing teams, and ensuring strong market positioning. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning commercial activities with business objectives while ensuring operational excellence across regions. Marketing & Brand Management: Define and implement ATL and BTL marketing strategies to strengthen brand positioning Lead product development initiatives in collaboration with production teams Plan and execute marketing activations and ensure effective rollout and performance tracking Manage new product launches and identify portfolio gaps Drive market research and customer insights to support decision-making Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media strategy and execution Sales & Business Development: Develop and execute annual sales strategies aligned with company objectives Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team across regions Set sales targets and monitor performance across open market and modern trade channels Identify new market opportunities and expansion strategies Strengthen customer relationships and ensure optimal account management Monitor pricing, competition, and market dynamics Establish KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews Analyze sales data to optimize marketing investments and commercial outcomes Collaborate with internal departments (Production, Finance, Supply Chain) Ensure efficient management of customer claims and complaints Support regulatory compliance (NAFDAC, SON) and export activities Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications & Experience: MBA in Marketing or related field 10–15 years’ experience in FMCG, preferably in non-food segments Proven track record in marketing strategy and sales execution Strong experience managing both traditional and modern trade channels Excellent analytical and data - driven decision - making skills Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and team management capabilities Strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills High level of commercial acumen Ability to operate in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
