Chief Operating Officer - COO

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale our operations, with an initial focus on West Africa. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for operational performance, execution, and profitability. The COO will work closely with the CEO and executive team to drive growth, strengthen operational discipline, and build a high-performing organization. What You’ll Do Own operational performance and profitability across key markets Lead large-scale, multi-site operations and ensure consistent execution Drive efficiency, cost control, and strong unit economics Build and manage senior relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders Lead, structure, and scale high-performing teams Strengthen systems, processes, and operational controls Partner cross-functionally to align operations with commercial and financial goals What We’re Looking For 15+ years of leadership experience in logistics, transportation, or asset-heavy industries Proven experience with full P&L ownership at a senior level (COO, MD, or equivalent) Experience managing large-scale operations (e.g. fleets, distributed sites, or nationwide networks) Strong commercial acumen and track record of driving profitability Experience operating in Nigeria or similar complex markets Ability to balance strategy and hands-on execution Strong leadership presence with experience managing senior stakeholders
