Banking Technology Specialist

Description

Responsibilties Digital Banking & Systems Management: Manage and support core banking applications and digital platforms (mobile banking, USSD, internet banking). Monitor system performance and ensure uptime of all banking channels. Assist in deployment, integration, and upgrade of banking software and fintech solutions IT Infrastructure & Support: Provide technical support to staff on banking applications, networks, and hardware issues Configure and maintain IT systems including servers, networks, and endpoints. Troubleshoot system issues and ensure timely resolution of incidents. User Administration & Training: Create and manage user accounts and access rights within banking systems Train staff on digital platforms and IT tools for efficient usage Data Management & Security: Perform system backups, data recovery, and ensure data integrity Ensure compliance with IT security policies, CBN guidelines, and data protection standards. Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and implement security controls. Digital Operations & Reporting: Support end-of-day (EOD), end-of-month (EOM), and system reconciliations Generate reports on digital transactions, system usage, and performance. Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes and systems. Innovation & Process Improvement: Collaborate with business units to improve digital banking services. Support implementation of new fintech solutions and digital products. Identify opportunities to automate processes and enhance customer experience. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Experience: 2–5 years experience in IT, preferably in a bank or fintech company Experience with core banking systems and digital banking platforms Technical Skills: Knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN), system administration, and databases Familiarity with banking applications and fintech tools Basic programming or scripting knowledge is an advantage Understanding of cybersecurity practices and IT governance Core Competencies: Problem-solving and analytical thinking Strong communication and user support skills Attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to work under pressure in a financial services environment.
