Accountant

Job Summary Fhemfel Homes is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support sound financial decision-making. The accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, compliance with statutory requirements, and financial reporting in line with company policies and applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Prepare, maintain, and reconcile financial records, ledgers, and accounts. Manage daily accounting entries, including receipts, payments, invoices, and journals. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Monitor cash flow, budgets, and expenditure to ensure financial efficiency. Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and client reconciliations. Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions and compliance with tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.). Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation. Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records. Assist with payroll processing in collaboration with the HR Department. Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities. Ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal controls. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage. Minimum of 4–5 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate or a related industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Nigerian tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting QuickBooks software and Microsoft Excel. High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
