Truck Driver

Job Purpose To ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods while maintaining vehicle condition, compliance with traffic laws, and accurate delivery documentation Key Responsibilities Operate company trucks safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies Transport goods to assigned destinations within agreed timelines Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) and report any faults or issues immediately Ensure proper loading, securing, and offloading of goods to prevent damage or loss Maintain accurate delivery records, including logbooks, fuel usage, and delivery notes Adhere to assigned routes and schedules unless otherwise directed Ensure the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle Report accidents, delays, or incidents promptly to management Support compliance with company safety standards and transport regulations Minimum Requirements Valid driving license (Class C and C1) Minimum of 3–4 years’ proven experience as a truck driver Minimum KCSE (Secondary School Certificate) Good knowledge of road safety regulations and routes Clean driving record (no major traffic offenses) Key Competencies & Attributes High level of responsibility and accountability Strong attention to detail (especially with documentation and vehicle checks) Good time management and reliability Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage (to identify minor issues early) Good communication skills Ability to work under minimal supervision Integrity and professionalism Physically fit and able to handle loading/offloading where required
