Technical Coordinator – SC10

Tasks and responsibilities Oversee and manage the grant delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines. Coordinate inputs from consultants, service providers, and implementing partners. Prepare annual and quarterly work plans in consultation with FAO, NDA, MoECCF, CoG, and other stakeholders. Act as Secretary to the PSC, preparing agenda, minutes, and follow-up actions. Provide technical coordination and guidance to all project outputs. Ensure the logical flow of interdependent activities across the project. Oversee and review development of county climate adaptation plans in close collaboration with service providers and national stakeholders. Consolidate input for the development of a review report of NAP implementation. Ensure technical quality of deliverables, including reports, M&E systems, and knowledge products. Monitor project progress, risks, and results in line with the Logical Framework and GCF reporting requirements. Ensure timely preparation of progress and completion reports for FAO and GCF. Maintain transparent and accountable reporting systems. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project partners. Promote inclusive participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups in project activities. Support organization of workshops, consultations, and the Climate Investment Forum. Identify potential implementation challenges and propose mitigation measures. Report promptly on any delays or difficulties to FAO and the PSC CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING Minimum Requirements Master’s degree in environmental science, climate studies, natural resource management or a closely related field from a recognized university is required A minimum of five (5) years of progressive work experience in climate change adaptation planning, implementation, or related work Working knowledge (level C) of English and Kiswahili National of Kenya
